Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about CommBriX Product Evaluation — from how credits work to what happens after your report is delivered.

1. Service Positioning & Value

CommBriX provides independent, evidence-based product evaluation for B2B buyers sourcing from China. We combine VOC (Voice of Customer) insight from thousands of real marketplace reviews with hands-on physical product testing — giving you objective evidence to make better sourcing decisions.

Our evaluation answers five key questions: Should I Buy, Improve, Compare, Renegotiate, or Reject this product?

Our service is designed for:

  • Category Managers & Buyers who need product screening and marketing insight
  • Merchandising & Marketing Teams looking for evidence-based product improvement
  • CXOs & Procurement Leaders who need supplier validation and bulk-order readiness
  • Sourcing, QA/QC & Product Teams who require hands-on sample testing before committing to large orders

Three key differentiators:

  • Objective & Neutral: No sponsorship or sales agenda. We give honest recommendations — even when the answer is "No."
  • Faster Decisions: We reduce your decision cycle from 30 days to 7 days (75%+ faster) through local sample access and structured reporting.
  • Lower Total Cost: Pay-as-you-go model, no travel overhead, IT/AI-assisted team — replacing manual, expensive global validation trips.

Our evaluations are designed to support five types of sourcing decisions:

  • Buy — Confirm the product meets your quality and customer expectations
  • Improve — Identify specific product or packaging improvements before ordering
  • Compare — Evaluate multiple suppliers or product versions side by side
  • Renegotiate — Use evaluation findings as evidence to renegotiate price or terms
  • Reject — Avoid costly mistakes by rejecting products that fail customer expectations

No. CommBriX operates as a fully independent evaluation partner. We have no commercial relationship with any supplier, manufacturer, or brand. Our findings are based solely on customer review data and hands-on product testing — ensuring unbiased, evidence-based results you can trust.

Our typical timeline is within 7 days total:

  • 1–2 days: Local sample access (no international shipping delay)
  • 3–5 days: Evaluation & reporting

This is 75%+ faster than traditional global validation methods that can take 30+ days.

3. Testing Methodology

These are two complementary evaluation approaches:

VOC Insight (Outside-in) analyzes thousands of real customer reviews from marketplaces to understand what customers value, complain about, and why they return or reject products. No physical sample is required.

Hands-on Validation (Inside-out) physically tests a product sample against customer-driven risks and expectations — covering unboxing, ease of use, core functions, and routine care. A physical sample must be submitted.

Together they form our full evaluation methodology: understanding the customer voice first, then validating it through direct product testing.

The Outside-in framework analyzes real marketplace reviews across 4 stages and 10 check points:

Stage 1 — Understand Customers:

  • Check Point 1: Data Scope & Method
  • Check Point 2: User Profile
  • Check Point 3: Usage Scenarios

Stage 2 — Understand Satisfaction Drivers:

  • Check Point 4: Rating Impact
  • Check Point 5: Negative Review Signals
  • Check Point 6: Positive Review Signals

Stage 3 — Understand Purchase Decisions:

  • Check Point 7: Motivations
  • Check Point 8: Unmet Needs

Stage 4 — Drive Product Improvements:

  • Check Point 9: Review Theme-to-Validation Mapping
  • Check Point 10: Outside-in Takeaways

The Inside-out framework tests the physical product sample across 4 stages and 11 check points:

Stage 1 — First Impression & Unboxing:

  • Check Point 1: Packaging
  • Check Point 2: Contents
  • Check Point 3: Appearance & Workmanship

Stage 2 — Ease of Use & Handling:

  • Check Point 4: User Manual
  • Check Point 5: Indicators & Guidance
  • Check Point 6: First Use

Stage 3 — Core Functions & Validation:

  • Check Point 7: Core Functions
  • Check Point 8: Usage Scenarios
  • Check Point 9: Abnormal Conditions

Stage 4 — Routine Use & Care:

  • Check Point 10: Maintenance & Care
  • Check Point 11: Accessories & Add-ons

We source customer reviews from official data on major international marketplaces — primarily Amazon and TikTok. Our team applies structured data scope and method criteria to ensure the review set is:

  • Relevant to the specific product category and use case
  • Representative of your target customer profile
  • Sufficient in volume to identify statistically meaningful patterns

All review data is processed under strict NDA and data privacy protocols.

All hands-on testing is conducted by our trained evaluation team based in China (Yiwu and Shenzhen sourcing hubs). Our service is primarily designed for products sourced from China — allowing us to access samples locally within 1–2 days, with no international shipping delay before testing.

If you are sourcing outside of China and wish to ship a sample to our evaluation hub, this is possible but will incur additional international shipping time and cost on the client's side. We recommend discussing this with us before submission to ensure it fits your timeline and budget.

All evaluators follow a structured test protocol mapped directly to customer review findings — ensuring every test point is grounded in real customer expectations, not generic checklists.

Yes. CommBriX operates as a fully independent evaluation partner with no commercial relationship to any supplier, manufacturer, or marketplace. Our evaluation team follows standardized protocols and reports findings objectively — including negative findings. We will recommend rejection if the product does not meet customer expectations, regardless of the client's sourcing preference.

4. Independence & Confidentiality

No. CommBriX is a fully independent evaluation partner. We have no commercial, financial, or referral relationship with any supplier, manufacturer, brand, or marketplace. Our evaluation findings are based solely on customer review data and hands-on product testing — ensuring unbiased results you can rely on for critical sourcing decisions.

All client engagements are covered by a mutual NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement) signed before any information is shared. This includes:

  • Product specifications and sourcing plans submitted by the client
  • Supplier identities and sample details
  • Evaluation findings and final reports
  • Any proprietary business information shared during the engagement

Data is handled by a dedicated team under strict internal protocols and is never shared with third parties.

Your evaluation report is strictly confidential and accessible only to:

  • Your designated team members as specified during onboarding
  • The CommBriX evaluation team directly responsible for your project

No report content is shared externally, published, or used for any other purpose without your explicit written consent.

Never. Client confidentiality is a core operating principle at CommBriX. All product, supplier, and business information is treated as strictly confidential under our NDA. We maintain clear data separation between client projects and enforce access controls within our team to prevent any cross-client information exposure.

After the evaluation is complete, you will be notified and given the option to:

  • Have the sample returned to you (return shipping arranged at your cost)
  • Have the sample securely disposed of by our team

Samples are never repurposed, resold, or shared with any other party. All handling is documented and covered under your NDA agreement.

Yes. Competitive product evaluations are a common use case for our service — particularly for the Compare and Renegotiate decision types. All such evaluations are handled with the same confidentiality standards as any client project. We do not disclose to any party that a competitive evaluation has been conducted.

5. Pricing & Timeline

Our credit system is simple and flexible:

  • 1 Credit = 1 Sample Evaluation
  • Each credit covers one physical sample submitted for evaluation — not one product type
  • If you source the same product from multiple suppliers, each supplier's sample requires its own credit
  • This ensures every evaluation reflects the actual unit you intend to sell, not a generic product category

Credits can be purchased individually or in bundles of 20 for a discounted rate.

Standard Evaluation (Review Insight — no sample required):

  • €59 per Credit (single evaluation)
  • €1,062 for 20 Credits (bundle)

Advanced Evaluation (Insight + Validation — sample required):

  • €199 per Credit (single evaluation)
  • €3,582 for 20 Credits (bundle)

All prices are excluding VAT where applicable. Volume pricing for enterprise clients is available upon request.

Our standard turnaround is within 7 days total:

  • Day 1–2: Local sample access (no international shipping delay)
  • Day 3–5: Evaluation & reporting
  • Day 6–7: Report delivery and review

This is 75%+ faster than traditional global validation methods that typically take 30+ days, including international sample shipping and on-site visits.

The credit price covers the full evaluation and report delivery. Additional costs that may apply:

  • Sample shipping to our evaluation hub (arranged by the client)
  • Sample return shipping if requested after evaluation
  • Rush delivery surcharge if turnaround faster than standard 7 days is required
  • Custom evaluation scope or add-on modules (available on request for enterprise clients)

There are no hidden fees. All costs are confirmed before the evaluation begins.

Yes. Credits purchased in a bundle of 20 can be used across multiple evaluations over time. There is no expiry on purchased credits. This makes the bundle option ideal for teams with ongoing sourcing pipelines who need regular product evaluations throughout the year.

No. CommBriX operates on a fully pay-as-you-go model. You can start with a single credit evaluation and scale up as needed. There are no monthly subscriptions, minimum order quantities, or long-term commitments required. Enterprise clients can discuss dedicated capacity arrangements upon request.

6. Follow-up Services

No. CommBriX is a strictly independent, third-party evaluation service. We do not provide sourcing, procurement, or supplier referral services of any kind.

Our role is to give you objective, evidence-based evaluation findings — so you can make better decisions with your own sourcing team or partners. Offering procurement services would create a conflict of interest that compromises our independence, which is the foundation of everything we do.

No. CommBriX does not recommend, refer, or endorse any specific supplier, manufacturer, or product. Doing so would undermine our position as an independent evaluation partner.

What we do provide is objective evaluation evidence — strengths, weaknesses, risks, and customer insights — that empowers you to make your own informed sourcing decisions. The decision always remains with you.

Yes. If a product is evaluated and improvements are recommended, we offer re-evaluation as a follow-up service. Each re-evaluation uses one credit and follows the same structured framework — allowing you to track improvement progress and confirm that changes meet customer expectations before placing a bulk order.

Yes. For clients with continuous sourcing activity, we offer dedicated evaluation capacity — ensuring priority scheduling, consistent evaluation teams, and streamlined reporting formats aligned to your internal workflows.

All ongoing support remains strictly within our independent evaluation scope. We do not take on sourcing, negotiation, or supplier management roles. Contact us to discuss an enterprise evaluation plan tailored to your sourcing volume and frequency.

No. Supplier audits and factory visits fall outside our scope and are incompatible with our independent evaluation model. Engaging directly with suppliers or factories creates relationships that could compromise the objectivity of our findings.

Our evaluation is product-focused and customer-driven — based on marketplace review data and hands-on product testing only. If you require supplier audits, we recommend working with a dedicated third-party audit firm independently of our evaluation service.
